Premier Rallies Troops at PLP Banquet

Premier Dr Ewart Brown delivered a strident call to party supporters to mobilise and work in concert at Saturday night's PLP annual banquet. In a hard-hitting speech, which also chastised the Opposition UBP and the print media, Dr Brown called for members to focus their energies on winning the upcoming election so that the PLP could continue its work to improve the lives on all Bermudians. His speech was interrupted with repeated applause and ended with a standing ovation.
In the opening prayer Reverend Cal Bean referred to one of the original meanings of "banquet" as a coming together of like minded individuals in preparation for war. He said preparation for the upcoming election was similar to war preparations. MORE! ยป
