DeSilva Condemns Shooting, Urges Cooperation with Police
Yesterday, Acting Minister of Labour, Home Affairs and Housing, Zane DeSilva, received a briefing from Police Commissioner Michael DeSilva regarding the shooting incident on St. Monica's Road.
The Minister condemned the shooting and called on members of the public with knowledge of the incident to cooperate with the police sot hat justice can be done. Minister DeSilva:
I wish to add my voice to the many this evening in condemning this weekend's shooting which has left another young man in hospital.
I want to publicly express my support for the members of the Bermuda Police Service (BPS), and I am confident that they will bring the person or persons responsible to justice.
Finally, I think it's very critical to remind the public that their cooperation is vital in assisting the Police, and I encourage anyone with any knowledge about this incident to please contact the BPS to provide whatever information they have.
