Bermuda Signs 15th TIEA

Continuing Bermuda's commitment to far exceed OECD standards, Bermuda concluded it's 15th TIEA with the Netherlands Antilles. Minister Paula Cox commented on the good news:

It is a particular pleasure for me to sign this document following our signing with the Kingdom of the Netherlands on June 8, which itself marked our 12th signed TIEA.

Our TIEA with the Netherlands satisfied the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) standard and resulted in Bermuda being the first country to ascend to the white list from the grey list.

Bermuda now having concluded a TIEA with Netherlands Antilles draws Bermuda that much closer to the Netherlands and its overseas territories. Bermuda has also concluded negotiations with Aruba, which will be signed in the near future, thus completing information exchange agreements with both the Kingdom of the Netherlands’ overseas territories.

The PLP Government is exceeding the OECD's expectations because we are committed to enhancing Bermuda's sterling international reputation.
