Kudos to Minister Glenn Blakeney for refusing an interview with Bermuda's biased daily. Just as American President Barack Obama rarely gives interviews to Republican aligned news outlets, it's refreshing to see a PLP Minister stand up to Bermuda's UBP aligned news outlet.

Because Minister Blakeney stood up to The Royal Gazette, Bill Zuill went on the attack. An unattributed article appearing in the paper brought up old, misleading attacks against the Minister. None of the attacks were news. They were just biased spin from a hopelessly biased paper committed to attacking the PLP Government at every opportunity.

Minister Blakeney doesn't work for The Royal Gazette and has no obligation to them. Blakeney has an obligation to the Bermudian people and should be commended for standing up to an entity that regularly turns up their nose at unbiased reporting and journalistic ethics in favour of parroting the Opposition's lines.
