UBP Gazette Does it Again
They've done it again. They published and attributed words to Premier Ewart Brown that he never said. The Premier's Press Secretary, Glenn Jones, sets the record straight:
The Premier agrees with Mr. Ed Ball that in the absence of evidence it is irresponsible to accuse the civil service – or anyone for that matter – of a fraudulent and criminal act. That’s why the comments about the civil service cited in the Royal Gazette were not spoken by the Premier at last week’s press conference.
It does not appear that the Royal Gazette told Mr. Ball that the comments it has been reporting were never actually spoken or written by the Premier. Fortunately, the Premier and Mr. Ball spoke today and cleared the air.
Finally, to eliminate any doubt, the Premier has not made any comments about the civil service as it relates to this matter because that would be grossly unfair and entirely inappropriate.
More of the same hopelessly biased and shockingly irresponsible "journalism" from the UBP Gazette.
