Today, it was revealed that Former UBP Leader Wayne Furbert has resigned the party in disgust for their unwillingness to change and former UBP Leader Michael Dunkley is in bed with the old, aristocratic "40 Thieves." According to the current Mid Ocean President, Mr. Dunkley is seeking to return the aristocratic, out-of-touch old guard to power at the Mid Ocean Club.

Throughout it's history, the UBP has governed of, by and for Bermuda's aristocratic elite. Given Mr. Dunkley's controversy and Mr. Furbert's resignation, it's clear that the old guard that is uninterested in change and more interested in regaining power is still firmly in control of the United Bermuda Party.
