One year ago today the PLP won a third straight mandate from the people of Bermuda. The people went to the polls and sent a strong message that we should keep Bermuda moving forward with the PLP.

Over the last year, we've worked tirelessly to deliver for Bermuda. Let's take a look back at some of our many accomplishments.

DayCare. We took a giant leap forward by providing the first ever DayCare benefit for Bermudians. This benefit provides much needed relief to working families struggling to get ahead.

Free Bermuda College. This was a tremendous leap forward in providing more opportunities for Bermudians. Education is the key to success and by putting higher education in reach of more Bermudians, we are creating opportunity for scores of people. The results speak for themselves. This fall, enrollment jumped 25%

Free Transportation for Students. Our free transportation for students initiative has provided more mobility for our students and has enabled our teachers to offer more field trips.

Club Med Deal Signed. After decades of inaction, your PLP government delivered in a tough economic environment. We demolished the St. George's eyesore and signed a deal to bring a blockbuster new resort to our country.

Mirrors Expanded. The PLP Government expanded the highly successful Mirrors programme in an effort to put at risk kids on the road to success.

St. George's Police Station. We promised a renovated St. George's police station and we delivered. Even the UBP applauded our effort.

EEZ. We're revitilising Hamilton with the EEZ which is bringing new investment and economic opportunity to that part of town. We're committed to making sure that this development provides economic opportunity for all Bermudians.

We have also confronted an international economic crisis not seen since the Great Depression. We've tightened Government's belt and made Government more efficient in response. And, in the face of the economic chaos, we've maintained a strong regulatory environment that has been lauded by scores of independent organisations.

Make no mistake about it, we face scores of challenges over the next year. But, after a decade of power, the PLP has proven itself to be capable managers of our economy. We've presided over years of strong economic growth and now that we're facing lean times, you can rest assured knowing that we will capably steer Bermuda's economic ship through tough economic waters.
